Selfridges is to stage a six-hour comedy telethon on Instagram to raise money for mental health charity SHOUT.
The Lol-athon will take place this Friday on the Selfridges Instagram account and has been produced with cabaret act Sink the Pink’s co-founder Glynn Fussell, and its parent company East Creative.
Starting at 6pm and finishing at midnight, the show will feature more than 15 acts, including stand-up comedians, drag artists and singers. Spice Girl Mel C will round off the evening with a live DJ set.
The likes of Jonny Woo, Rich Wilson, Jayde Adams, Rosie Jones, Bourgeois and Maurice, Jonbenet Blonde as Wendy Minger, Grace Campbell and Crystal Rasmussen will also appear on the broadcast.
Throughout, viewers will be invited to donate to the mental health charity SHOUT, which aims to provide immediate support for anyone struggling with mental health issues.
The donations will be facilitated through a new secure donate button, a new feature on Instagram, which will be activated live as viewers watch.
