PREMIER Clipper

Clipping

Any LA staccato noise rap trio that rhymes Oslo with Costco and adds distorted loud vocals (not LOUD vocals but repeating the word loud) is ace in my eyes. I don't even mind their constant use of bitch in the non-canine sense.

Body and Blood comes from the boys' debut album on Sub Pop, CLPPNG.

And any group of males that rap about:

Candles by the mirror perfume on the dresser.... nails did, hair did, teeth white."

Must hold some sort of key to the female psyche. It's just my opinion, but I think this song could be about menstruation. And I am cool with that.

Some people are obsessed.

Some of those people are also talented. Like this designer from Seattle who spent the good part of two years creating an intricate graphic exploration of episode 18 from season two of West Wing. An episode that Seattle visual artist, Jon White believes is the best episode of a television series, EVER.

Truth be told he is not even a West Wing enthusiast he just loves the episode. And his self-proclaimed modest ode to show creator Aaron Sorken is rather impressive. He breaks the episode into five themes delving into each area through it's location in the West Wing. He story boards.

The Drama Photograph: /Jon White

And gives further evidence to the history and character perspective as events unfold. He even brings to light the fact that the episode titled Seventeen People in fact only has sixteen people in it. Then creating a separate crafted illustration for each character.

It's crazy. A bit like having a professor explain the significance of your favourite pop song (cringey) but impressive. Check the complete site here.

Graphic posters from Sin City

The latest Sin City: A Dame to Kill For posters are making the wait the highly, highly anticipated Robert Rodriguez/Frank Miller team up even more difficult. It's the similar to shaking a present before Christmas. Parents are better off just hiding gifts until Christmas Eve. Otherwise the tension is just too much. And you may end up with shredded gift wrapping hidden under your youngsters bed.

Jessica Alba sheds her sweet as Honey image for her comic noir comeback.

Josh Brolin swears not to let his monster out. Ever. Except for that one time. He unintentionally released the monster. Whoops.

Joseph Gordon Levitt looks exactly like he does in all other movies? But this time he has a cut nose. Because now he is a dark card playing gambler.

Oooo Rosario Dawson. Not really sure what exactly she has been in a part from that Quentin Tarantino revenge flick (aren't they all revenge flicks?) Death Proof. Which, has a killer soundtrack.

And Mickey Rourke. AHHHHHHHH. He just frightens me is all.

Now we have to wait for the real Eva Green poster. You'll have to get your fill of her with Penny Dreadful. She goes through the motions of the undead in that one.

Lunchtime Trailers

Jennifer Anniston can't catch a break in this Life of Crime trailer. But hey, at least her comedic timing is attached in this one. The latest of a flowing string of Elmore Leonard (America's great crime writer) adaptations coming from his 1978 novel the Switch is this crime dramedy. The film had it's debut at last year's Toronto International Film Festival (it was the close out film, which is not actually an honour just a circumstance) and received positive reviews. Nothing glowing or OTT but it seems to be a well acted comedic suspense novel conversion. It hits UK theatres 4 September.

Another edition to the plethora of Woody Allen epics. The 1920s drama, Magic in the Moonlight, has Colin Firth gunning to debunk Emma Stone's false séance-ablities (geddit?). But typical of the Allen genre there is something brewing and it isn't tea leaves. The film is set for a UK release on 19 September.

PREMIER Ali Love

Notorious K-popper (and I do not mean a Girls' Generation enthusiast) and London party-goer Ali Love returns sans-Hot Natured with a sunny night house tune. Deep into the Night, is an anthem for lightless moves after a K-day in the London Fields.

It is also perfect for listening to on your ear buds, on repeat. Love evokes that swelter of summer nights. A dark swelter that won't arrive until August. *rolls eyes*

Still, you can keep sweaty with Love's debut single off of his next studio album P.U.M.P. due out 14 July. Somebody pass me a paper fan.

Rick Ross' Drunk-in-Love confession to Solange

This will evoke some deep belly laughter. It is a direct stream of conciousness to the post pub mind of Rick Ross.

In the case you misheard anything you don't speak slurred, or you found your concentration lost on what Ross was saying because you were trying to figure our how he was able to get his eyes to look in opposite directions. The down low on the conversation.

On the Jay Z-Solange-elevator tape:

You gets to see his real life. It's a beautiful thang. Then we go home to our big houses just like they did. And we call each other and laugh. And they looked at the blogs and laughed..............Man I love my life."

On Camden/ UK/ London:

All you rich motherfuckers. Thank you for the support. You know I sold more records over there than I ever have. "

Awe shucks, Rozay that is so sweet. And genuine. I do believe that you appreciate our cash for your music. And I respect your acknowledgment of our part in providing the platinum chains around your neck.

Ross played a substance-less Roundhouse show in London on Monday.

Batman gets a name

Drumroll please. The new Ben Affleck epic will be called: Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. For your viewing pleasure. An utterly pointless literal recreation of the title.

Batman V Superman (in this particular instance the way they are ordered in the image it would be Superman V Batman, if we are keeping it literal).

Dawn.

Justice. Oh I mean, Justin. No, I mean justice.

Jay Z gets an Atlanta airport club

His swanky New York sports club (as in dance club/ sports pub) 40/40 will be coming to the America's Southern Airport hub, dubbed the world's busiest airport. The Atlanta airport 40/40 will be open to all ticket holding passengers arriving or departing from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The Associated Press reported the rap mogal's spokeswoman, Victoria Hong as saying:

We want to have the same type of feel as the regular 40/40 Club. It's the airport version of the 40/40 Club."

Naturally, there will be a VIP lounge area to the club. VIP being, no stranger to Jay Z or to airports for that matter.

Take the Virigin Atlantic lounge. It's filled with champagne, suited waiters and ceviche.

Heathrow's Virgin Atlantic lounge.

I expect the airport version of Jay Z's high, high end sports club to be no different. Okay maybe a little different. Probably consisting of tightly t-shirted girls, 10 dollar peanuts and specialty beer. Arguably: same, same.

Jay Z's 40/40 club.

Morning time is Jungle Time

The mysterious no more London duo J & T team up again for some kaleidoscope soul by way of a 1970s urban parade at studio 54. They appeared on the scene last year with as the background tunes to this killer break dancing kid. Platoon put music fans into a frenzy it was like some Jai Paul-esque secrecy.

We talked about them as the unknown tribal duo last year. This year they are known as the recording duo that turns into a seven piece band on stage. And after revealing their one letter names (J&T) and their faces they have premiered this floor sliding tune. It's sure to get you PUMPED for the their debut album out on XL, July 15.

You can catch them live at Germany's Melt festival on July 19.
