JaVale McGee (ankle) is questionable for Game 3 vs. Rockets

The Los Angeles Lakers had a phenomenal bounceback in last night’s Game  2 against the Houston Rockets, evening their best-of-seven series at 1-1. But the Lakers may have fewer options available to them when they head into Game 3.

Lakers head coach Frank Vogel told reporters on Monday that starting center JaVale McGee is currently “questionable” to play in Tuesday evening’s Game 3. McGee left Game 2 in the second half and did not return after feeling pain in his left ankle. The Lakers were also without Dion Waiters for much of the second half and he will have to undergo more testing on Monday to determine his status, according to Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times.

The Lakers got a major boost on Sunday from their bench, helping accentuate monster games from their star players. Kyle Kuzma, Markieff Morris and Rajon Rondo all scored in double-figures, while Rondo also had a game-high five steals in the Game 2 win.
