Jamie Vardy's wife reveals to fan who she really wants to win Premier League

Jamie Vardy's wife Rebekah has revealed who she wants to win the Premier League ahead of her husband's clash against Manchester City .

One fan tweeted Rebekah Vardy asking her to "injure" Leicester striker Jamie, who has a great track record of scoring against the top clubs.

City host Leicester on Monday targeting a win to regain pole position after Liverpool went top with a dramatic late win over Newcastle United.

Liverpool need a favour from either Leicester or Brighton - City's final two opponents in the Premier League this season.

Vardy has scored 18 goals against the top six Premier League clubs.

And Mrs Vardy left football fans in no doubt that she wants her husband to continue that record against City on Monday.

When the fan tweeted her saying "oi make sure you injure Vardy tonight so he doesn't play vs Man City. No one wants Liverpool to win the Premier League", her response was emphatic.

Mrs Vardy replied saying: "I do."

England international Vardy has scored eight goals against Arsenal , seven against Liverpool and five against each Manchester club, as well as five against Spurs and four versus Chelsea .

Liverpool returned to the top with their dramatic 3-2 win away to Newcastle United on Saturday.
