Jamie Foxx's co-star John Boyega has given a health update on his friend and colleague after he claimed earlier this month that "no one has heard from him".
In April it was revealed that Jamie had experienced a "medical complication", with it soon emerging that he had been hospitalised for the unknown health scare.
With his fans worried from the get-go, the actor's family then revealed in May that Jamie was no longer in hospital, with not much more revealed about his health since.
But now British actor John, 31, who stars alongside Jamie in new Netflix movie They Cloned Tyrone alongside, has now spoken out about hearing from the star in a welcome health update.
"He finally picked up the phone. Thank you, bro," John revealed in a new interview this week, just mere days after expressing how he was desperate for the actor to answer his calls.
"He’s doing well. And then, you know, we [are] just giving him the privacy, and we can’t wait for his return," told People on Tuesday while in Hollywood for the latest premiere of the new film.
John added: "I gave him the well-wishes directly. I gave him all the well-wishes. So I’m just gonna be waiting until he comes back out here.
"So take your time, Jamie. We love you, bro."
Around a fortnight ago on June 14, John spoke at another premiere for the movie, with him revealing: "No one has heard from Jamie," in a conversation with Entertainment Tonight.
At the time he went on: "I wanted him to show up here, but you know, I know he's dealing with what he's dealing with. I just wish him all the best."
John then said: "I've been calling, I'm just gonna keep on calling. He better pick up. Come on Jamie!"
Jamie was reportedly admitted to hospital in April, with his family issuing a health update at the start of May that stated how he was no longer in the hospital and was instead at home.
Recently however, Jamie's representatives slammed claims that the COVID-19 vaccination was behind the actor's illness, after speculation began to spiral.
In a statement, his representatives told NBC News the claims were and are "completely untrue".
