Jamie Carragher names the three Arsenal players who let Unai Emery down against Everton

Former England and Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has called out three Arsenal players for their poor performances in Sunday's 1-0 loss to Everton.

Phil Jagielka was not expected to start the match for the Toffees but was pressed into action after Michael Keane was taken ill during the warm up.

The club captain soon made his impact felt by putting away an early goal that proved to be the winner.

However, Marco Silva's side were unlucky not to add to their lead with Shkodran Mustafi in particular a weak point in the Arsenal defence.

Arsenal legend identifies Unai Emery's one big problem behind disappointing Everton loss

Speaking as a pundit on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football programme, Carragher picked out the German's sub-par showing as one of three culprits who did not deliver when it mattered for the Gunners.

"I can’t believe how poor Arsenal were," he said. "I can’t believe that they’re the only team away from home without a clean sheet. Arsenal have only done that once in their history in 1931, that’s how long it’s been.

"We’re talking about one of the top teams in the country so to do that is unbelievable. After last week, we lauded how well they’d played at home, you can’t actually believe where they are in the Premier League.

"The performances of [Henrikh] Mkhitaryan, [Mesut] Ozil, Mustafi at the back, these are shocking performances and it must be a real worry for Unai Emery that they miss out on top four because of their away form."
