Jamie Carragher names players who let Liverpool down vs Man Utd

Jamie Carragher claimed Liverpool's front three let their side down against Manchester United on Sunday.

The top of the table clash was billed as an exciting fixture beforehand but for fans and neutrals alike it failed to live up to the hype.

Jurgen Klopp was forced to field a makeshift defence, including Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, due to the injuries of Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip and Joe Gomez.

But the pair did well with Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford kept at bay.

And despite the injury crisis at the back it seems there's a different sort of worry taking place at the other end of the pitch.

Liverpool have now only scored one goal in their past four Premier League matches - that coming in the 1-1 draw with West Brom.

Over the past few seasons Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have been heralded as the best front three in the world.

But after drawing another blank against United, Carragher claims the front three have been letting their side down.

"That's been a big problem, Martin," said Carragher while commentating on Sky Sports.

"A lot of talk every week about who's going to play centre-back. Who knows how this game is going to finish but Henderson, Fabinho, they've done really well considering who they're up against - some top attacking talents.

"It's the front three, the real attacking threat that has really let Liverpool down. Same again today."
