Jamie Brandon extends Hearts stay as full-back is latest young player to sign contract extension

Jamie Brandon is the latest young Hearts player to commit his future to the club.

The 22-year-old full-back has agreed a two year contract extension, meaning he'll remain at the club until the summer of 2022.

The club announced the news this morning, with Brandon following the likes of Lewis Moore and Euan Henderson after they also signed new deals in recent weeks.

Brandon broke into the team as a teenager and made his debut away to Celtic at the end of the 2016/17 Scottish Premiership season.

He's gone on to play 30 times for the first-team and has been capped for Scotland at under-21 level.

While Brandon, Moore and Henderson have agreed new contracts, a number of other first-team players were allowed to leave Hearts upon the expiry of their contracts this summer.

Clevid Dikamona and Oliver Bozanic have already departed while Marcel Langer and Donis Avdijaj will see their deals expire in the coming weeks.
