James Milner sends Tottenham Hotspur message that leaves some Liverpool fans confused

As things stand, Liverpool's match away to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday is set to go-ahead amid the Covid-19 crisis engulfing the Premier League.

The Reds were hit by coronavirus themselves this week as Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho and Curtis Jones were all forced to miss the win over Newcastle United on Thursday night after testing positive.

But others have had it worse, with six Premier League games having been postponed so far this weekend due to Covid outbreaks, while for Tottenham, Sunday's match will be their first since December 5 given their last three have been called off.

Before the game, James Milner posted on Instagram, seeming to confirm the Liverpool squad are ready for the clash with Spurs to take place.

The Reds vice-captain said on the social media site: "Tough away trip in difficult times, but we keep pushing."

But Milner's post on Instagram resulted in confusion amongst the Liverpool fanbase with one fan saying: "Was asking myself if I've got my days wrong and missed the match."

"So very confusing. Looked at the fixtures three times and still not sure if it happened or not," another fan said.

Milner could be in line for a start in midfield as Fabinho is set to miss out after testing positive for Covid while Jordan Henderson and Thiago Alcantara have played lot of football in recent weeks.

Antonio Conte's Spurs side have now played three less games in the Premier League after a major Covid outbreak at the club forced them to close the training ground.

It is unclear whether the situation at Liverpool has worsened.
