James Milner trained with Manchester City on Monday morning ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League encounter with Barcelona at the Etihad Stadium following a knee problem.
While this kept him out of Saturday’s win over Newcastle United, the midfielder was able to join the group that also included Stevan Jovetic, who has been dropped by Manuel Pellegrin from the 25-man squad.
Pellegrini confirmed at his pre-match press conference on Monday that Milner is “100% fit”. His possible inclusion will come as a boost given his good run of form recently.
Yaya Touré, who is suspended for the opening leg of the last-16 tie, was not at the session during the opening minutes.
