James Mcavoy told fans someone is attempting to steal his identidy using a fake passport.
The Scottish actor posted a picture of the fraudulent ID on his instagram account earlier today to warn people of what was happening.
Alongside the picture, James, 42, said: "Someone pretending to be me using this fake passport as proof.
"Not me."

The picture looked identical to the real deal and appeared to be complete with James' correct information, including his name, address and date of birth.
The X-Men star was keen to let his followers know this was definetly not genuine.
James didn't reveal how he found out what the scammer had been doing.
