James Haskell fears 'divorce' from Chloe Madeley as he opens up on busy schedule after being shamed

James Haskell has joked that he could be 'divorced' from his wife Chloe Madeley before he heads out on tour with pal Mike Tindall later this year. The former rugby stars were on The One Show on Tuesday night (March 7) to chat about their podcast which they will be taking on the road from October.

James, Mike and Alex Payne will be heading to arenas up and down the country to perform a live version of their hit podcast which will be coming off the back of this year’s Rugby World Cup in France and will have the theme of a World Cup After Party.

Appearing on the BBC One show's famous green sofa, host Alex Jones kicked off the chat by asking James and Mike: "But the Good, the Bad and the Rugby podcast, you're taking it on tour later in the year. Are you going to change it up? Will there be any interaction with the audience?"

Mike replied: "That's a very good question. I think there will be... it is definitely going to change from last year. That basically sums up the show really, it's a bit of carnage. But yeah, it's gonna change from last year. I think we've got a whole Rugby World Cup to go first and we will probably be out in France for a lot of it. If Japan was anything as a starting point to sort of building stories from that, then I'm sure it will kick off in France this year."

And after Mike, who is married to royal Zara Tindall, suggested the pair will be hosting a lot of live shows while they are away, James remarked: "I'm slightly concerned by the time we come to that tour I may or may not be divorced by then.

"I'm not allowed to say the name because a very panicked researcher said, 'Remember it's the BBC, do not mention it'. But you can look it up. I've got that, then I'm DJ-ing in Ibiza for 15 dates, then we got the World Cup and we got a 17-date tour with Good, Bad, Rugby."

"So my wife..." he started to say as Alex chipped in: "So you're single." To which James joked: "I'm single, I'm done." Mike then cheekily interjected to say: "It's alright though he doesn't have a young child at home," before James added: "She hates me already, so we should be alright."

As he looked into the camera, the former I'm A Celebrity star said: "Love you, babe." It comes after Chloe defended bother herself and James after he was shamed for being away from home a lot from their young daughter, Bohdi. Chloe, who is the daughter of former This Morning stars Richard Madeley and Judy Finnegan, and James welcomed their first child, a daughter, into the world in August 2022 after a difficult eight-hour induced labour ended in a C-section.

In an interview, Chloe revealed how she went back to work just eight weeks after giving birth to her daughter Bodhi because she needed the money. However, she later hit back over the headlines, saying she's a "35-year-old, successful, self-employed woman" before detailing her work - from her two coaching businesses to her books and podcasts.

She also defended James after he was flooded with DMs from people over the matter, suggesting he was a "s**t husband and father who doesn't provide for his family". Explaining her reasons for going back to work after two months, Chloe said: "Between the spring and winter of 2022, my husband and I bought our first house in North West London, refurbished it, furnished it, and had a baby.

'I'm not sure if anybody knows this, but these things do actually cost money. My husband doesn't pay the tax man in old England kit because he once played rugby, and I don't pay people in pictures of my daughter Bodhi or signed autographs of my parents. We actually work for a living like everybody else does'.

Chloe continued: "Just because you're a mother that doesn't mean you stop working (though fair play to those that do, being a mother is a full-time job in and of itself). It doesn't mean that you become financially dependent on your husband." She also hit back at the suggestion James 'withheld' money from her and their daughter saying it "couldn't be further from the truth".
