James Harden’s eyes still look terrifying 2 days after being poked

Rockets star James Harden was fortunate to walk away without damage to his cornea after being poked in both eyes by Draymond Green in Tuesday’s Game 2. The injury forced the Rockets star to temporarily leave the game in the first half, and when he returned, his eyes were visibly red.

And everyone freaked out.

While Harden is expected to be at full strength (and have fully restored vision) for Saturday’s Game 3 in Houston, Harden’s eyes currently look worse than they did on Tuesday.

Harden’s eye injury was clearly evident when he spoke to reporters during Thursday’s media availability. His left eye, in particular, was essentially blood red.

This doesn’t look good at all.

Harden told reporters that his vision has improved since the injury. He’s experiencing pain and struggling with vision in bright lights, but that irritation is expected to heal in the coming days.

NBA fans will certainly be paying close attention to that left eye come Saturday night.
