James Bond producers are said to want a Scottish actor to replace Daniel Craig after Bond 25.
Scottish Sean Connery starred in his last James Bond movie as 007 36 years ago and, according to reports, the top bosses want to take the agent back to his roots.
The source claimed producer Barbara Broccoli has James Bond bosses 'ask Sam Heughan to audition' for 007 as Daniel Craig exits
The rumour should be taken with a pinch of salt as always since Broccoli herself has said she won't look for Craig's replacement until Bond 25 is in cinemas.
The movie is due out in April 2020 after being pushed back, and filming is though to have only just begun in Norway.

"It has been 36 years since there was a Scottish Bond in Sean Connery and producers are looking for someone to emulate that success," a source told Mail on Sunday.
"Sam is an experienced actor, he’s in great shape and he has a cheeky side which is appealing as the bosses want Bond to have more to him."
Another Scottish actor, Richard Madden, is also rumoured to be in running for the role and is one of the favourites, according to the latest odds.
However, this won't have been the first time Heughan has auditioned for the part either.

Speaking on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan last year the actor said he had gone for the part and lost out to Craig because they were looking for a different age.
Henry Cavill similarly was in the running at the time, but was seen as too young at just 22.
If Heughan did snag the role he could be joined by James Bond 25: Rami Malek villain role 'confirmed' accidentally by stunt man in the new movie.
Bond 25 is out in UK cinemas on April 3, 2020.
