Jake Paul smokes cigarette while training for Nate Diaz grudge fight

YouTube boxer Jake Paul is "getting his lungs ready" to fight Nate Diaz by smoking cigarettes during training.

Paul looks to rebound after the first loss of his professional boxing career against Tommy Fury when he welcomes UFC legend Diaz to the ring on August 5. The fight is Diaz's inaugural boxing appearance since parting ways with the UFC last September after tapping out Tony Ferguson in his final bout for the promotion.

The fight was originally scheduled for eight rounds but Diaz had proposed a rule change that would have seen the pair go 12 rounds. They eventually settled on 10 rounds and Paul has joked that he is getting ready for the longest scheduled fight of his career by smoking whilst hitting the speed bag.

Earlier this month, Diaz demanded for the fight to be moved to a different state because of the marijuana laws in Texas. The UFC legend is an avid marijuana smoker but Paul's manager Nakisa Bidarian has ruled out any chance of the fight being moved to a different venue. “Nothing is changing in terms of location/venue. Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz is in Dallas, Texas," he tweeted.

Diaz has predicted Paul's only chance to beat him will come in the early rounds, stating "If not, then it's like you're in big trouble and I'm already willing to get knocked out. Are you willing to get tired and get your f****ng ass whipped and knocked the f*** out? You're over here acting like 'Oh, 15 rounds' I'm like, you're f****ng trying to blend it in so everybody forgets about it so it's a joke and it goes away. Right now, let's do 12 rounds. It doesn't matter to me."

Paul often uses his content creator background to effect before his fights by getting creative with his trash talk. 'The Problem Child' recently moved into a new $16million house in Puerto Rico that is kitted out with a music studio and he plans to put it to use by releasing a 'diss track' aimed at Diaz before their fight.

"The music studio being here means it's time to make a song again," Paul said in a YouTube video. "Maybe two songs. I want to make a Nate Diaz diss track, so let me know if you want a Nate Diaz diss track and maybe just another song, kind of like fresh out of London vibes."
