JAIPUR: Hundred per cent functional household tap connections (FHTC) have been made available in 28 villages of Jaipur district under the Jal Jeevan Mission, informed district collector Rajan Vishal on Monday. Apart from this, there are 73 villages in the district which have 90% functional household tap connections.
Under Jal Jeevan Mission, out of 5.81 lakh families in the district, benefits of functional tap connections have been provided to 1.89 lakh families already. The remaining 3.91 lakh families would be provided with tap connections by 2024, said Vishal.
Vishal on Monday gave instructions to the officers concerned to make efforts to complete the target under the Centre’s Jal Jeevan Mission at the earliest keeping in view 2024 as the deadline for completion.
The 14th meeting of the district water and sanitation mission was held at the Collectorate auditorium on Monday. In the meeting, the progress made so far under the Jal Jeevan Mission in Jaipur district was reviewed. The District Action Plan (DAP) was also approved during the meeting.
Out of 10,702 institutions, functional tap connections have been made available through pipes in 8,050. tnn
