Jadon Sancho 'agrees Man Utd transfer' as Red Devils close in on Borussia Dortmund star

Manchester United have reportedly made huge progress in their pursuit of Jadon Sancho - with the England ace believed to have agreed a switch to Old Trafford.

The Borussia Dortmund winger, 20, has had another superb season in the Bundesliga, scoring 15 goals and creating 16 assists.

That blistering form has seen him linked with a return to the Premier League, after the London-born winger quit Manchester City aged 17, and United appear to have pipped rivals Chelsea.

The Sun reports that Sancho has agreed almost every detail of a move to Old Trafford - including the length of his contract, salary, bonuses and a huge buyout clause.

It is claimed that talks have been ongoing for several months now and United have finally found a breakthrough with Sancho and his representatives.

United chiefs must now turn their attention to Dortmund in a bid to agree a fee for the highly-rated forward.

Dortmund are believed to be holding out for a fee which would surpass the £89million United paid Juventus for Paul Pogba four years ago.

Sancho started his career at United's bitter rivals Manchester City, but made the move to Germany in 2017 after struggling to break into the first-team.

Since then he has gone on to become one of the most highly sought-after young players in the world, and has also broken into the England team, having won 11 caps under Gareth Southgate.

Sancho appeared to further hint at a move to United during a recent Instagram Live Q&A. When asked by one user to sip from his bottle of water if he was making a move to Old Trafford, he sneakily did so, sending social media into meltdown.

And his international teammate Marcus Rashford did little to play down the speculation when he was recently asked about the prospect of linking up with Sancho at club level.

Speaking on an Instagram Q&A with Bleacher Report, Rashford said: "It obviously would be good, Sancho's a great player, a new generation player.

"It's definitely exciting to watch the player he's becoming. Hopefully we can all play together, that would be good."
