Jack Clarke transfer: Tottenham told how much they need to pay for Leeds United sensation

Spurs have been told to pay £20million for Leeds United’s exciting teenager Jack Clarke.

The 18-year-old has made a big impression in his first season at Elland Road and was recently named the club’s young player of the season.

Spurs are anxious to sign good young English talent and are still interested in Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish who was the subject of a number of failed bids last summer from the North London club.

They feel that Clarke who has fully recovered from a virus which saw him taken to hospital after collapsing at half-time in February during a Championship game at Middlesbrough is one for the future.

It’s an amazing rise for the teenager who only made his first team debut in October, scoring his first goal for the club in December against Aston Villa.

Most of his 25 appearances for Leeds have come off the substitutes bench but Spurs are amongst a clutch of Premier League clubs including Crystal Palace who have seen the potential and want to act swiftly once the season is over.

But Spurs haver told Leeds won’t part cheaply and they will have to come up with an offer in the region of £20 million.

They could even loan him back as the Yorkshire club are forced to contemplate another season in the Championship after losing in the play-offs.
