J.K. Dobbins tests positive for coronavirus, will miss Thursday’s game against Steelers

Former Ohio State and current Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins has tested positive for the novel coronavirus and has been placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced Monday.

It’s not shocking any longer when any athlete returns a positive test, but for Dobbins it comes at a time when he is starting to become a key force in the Ravens offense. He’s hat at least 12 carries in three of the last four games and just finished a 15-carry, 70-yard performance against the Tennessee Titans where he also found the end zone once.

Both he and nose tackle Brandon Williams suffered the same fate as a result of the test results, but even more Ravens players and staff members are also finding out they have been infected as well.

The positive result also means Dobbins and others will miss Thursday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. You have to wonder at this point if the game will even be able to be played Thursday night.

This is, unfortunately, just a product of the season of life we are in right now. Everyone enjoy the holidays safely.
