J.J. Watt’s best moments during his hosting gig on ‘Saturday Night Live’

Last night, J.J. Watt became the first NFL player since Eli Manning in 2012 to host “Saturday Night Live”.

No offense to Eli, but Watt crushed it much more.

Most of the skits were crisp and clever and he didn’t seem to miss a line — except for maybe his Texans’ defensive one and his offensive one as he pined about missing out on not being in this year’s Super Bowl.

“Would I really trade hosting SNL for the Super Bowl? … Yes, I definitely would.”

His opening monologue was a sweet shoutout to his family, especially his mother, as seen here:

Fake OLAY eye cream

Lots of spoofs were happening Saturday night, some live, some pre-filmed.

This was amusing enough, though.

“The only eye black that also reduces puffiness.”

Kobe Bryant tribute

Another athlete, actor or musician, among many others, who have paid tribute to Bryant since his untimely death, Watt rocked the jersey and tossed a piece-of-paper jump shot that looks like it would have made it in any arena.

Weird lines for Madden 2021? You bet.

Watt becomes maddeningly in disbelief as what he’s asked to read for the voiceover of the popular game.

A fun take on ‘The Bachelor’? Sure

Pilot Hunk. He’s a sky-boy looking for his fly girl, apparently.

Maybe we don’t play Robbie?

To me, this felt like the highlight. A wonderful unexpected spoof on the movie “Rudy.” If you don’t know about it, or him, look it up. But a terrific foul-mouthed (bleeped) spoof on a movie that is beloved by some and mocked by others.
