We’ve had a sneak peek at the Boots beauty, skincare and fragrance advent calendars for 2026, as the retailer teases its offering this year online. Joining Harrods, Cult Beauty, Space NK, Sephora, Liberty and Harvey Nichols in our list of the best beauty advent calendars, the beauty retailer has launched three advent calendars this year, including a 24-day beauty, 24-day skincare and, for the first time, a 12-day fragrance countdown.
While other beauty advent calendars can retail up to £300, Boots’s offering is a little easier on the wallet. Its premium beauty countdown costs £150, while the skincare and fragrance ones will set you back £70 and £90 respectively. That being said, it’s still a pretty penny to pay so I’ll be judging its worth as I unveil the full contents of each advent calendar.
Anyone taking home the most expensive offering, the luxe advent calendar, can expect a full-size Aveda rosemary mint shampoo and conditioner, a myriad of make-up from brands like Huda Beauty, Fenty and Nars, and sought-after skincare like a Milk hydro grip primer and the Illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream.

Labelled “luxe”, this calendar boasts a solid selection from the more premium brands the retailer stocks. Between its make-up, skincare and fragrance picks, Boots says it’s worth more than £700, so you’re getting good bang for your buck with its £150 price tag. Starting with make-up, standouts for me are the Huda Beauty easy bake setting spray, which is a genuinely useful setting spray rather than a token mini; the Benefit badgal bang mascara; an Iconic London complexion palette that offers six cream blush, bronze and highlight shades; and the versatile Nars the multiple in orgasm.
The skincare choices are where the calendar total worth gets an umph. Products like Clinique take the day off cleansing balm (worth £34), Estée Lauder advanced night repair eye lift + sculpt (worth £65), and Caudalie vinoperfect brightening dark spot serum (worth £52) are all major-value products. It would suit most skin types but does target hydration, barrier support and brightening with Ole Henriksen peach glaze, Mamonde azulene ampoule and Illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream (if you’re after a stronger anti-ageing and Korean skincare line-up, you might be happier with the skincare advent calendar).
Boots has also thrown in strong haircare products like a full size Aveda shampoo and conditioner set, Amika hydro rush leave-in conditioner and Colour Wow one minute transformation. Fragrance-wise I’m not as impressed with Sol de Janeiro cheirosa 91 (albeit it full-size) and 10ml Floral Street perfume in the mix– but then there’s the fragrance calendar for a reason.

Skincare buffs, this one is for you. Hitting the buzzy words and trends, the Boots 24 days of skin advent calendar is centred around Korean skincare, hydration, barrier repair, and “glass skin”, with anti-ageing and blemish care as a second theme.
With products like the Beauty of Joseon ginseng essence water, Anua PDRN hyaluronic acid mist and Haruharu back rice barrier essence, it’s particularly suited to someone looking for hydration from their skincare. There’s also a plumping, smoothing, firming angle with Mediheal collagen ampoule pads, Dr. Reju-All PDRN rejuvenating mask and Genebelle PDRN rejuvenating cream making the list. However, it offers a gentle anti-ageing routine rather than a serious anti-ageing treatment calendar as there’s no obvious retinoid-heavy component, for example.
Appealing to many, it’s very Korean-skincare influenced with brands like Beauty of Joseon, Anua, Haru Haru, Round Lab and Tocobo among others so it’ll tick the box for someone interested in K-beauty, essences, toners, ampoules, PDRN, barrier care and glow.
Where it lacks is in products for oily and acne-prone skin. While hero patches are useful, one pack of pimple patches and a salicylic-acid body wash won’t satisfy those after treating pigmentation and stubborn texture. Cleansing is also overrepresented with two cleansing balms and one face wash included, though I’m pleased to see The Inkey List oat cleansing balm in the list.
There are two SPF products, which are always useful, and some extras like Clean Skin Club towels that have been doing the rounds on socials.
Overall, I’d say this is best suited to someone who loves trying new products, has normal, dry, dehydrated or combination skin and is after a glowy, plump complexion, supporting barrier health and wants to try the buzzy Korean skincare brands. And at £70 this does feel like a steal.

New this year, Boots is launching a fragrance calendar with 12 doors retailing at £90, with a worth of £345. The one full-sized fragrance is slightly disappointing with it being a body mist from Floral Street but overall there’s a solid mix of recognisable designer names, celebrity fragrance and more niche brands. Despite the 12-days name, you actually get 15 fragrance and home-fragrance products in a line-up that doesn't feel like random perfume samples but a fragrance discovery calendar.
With Kayali fleur majesty, Givenchy L'interdit and Marc Jacobs perfect, it veers on the floral side but there’s a dose of more unconventional and woody options from Cra-yon, Maison Louis Marie, Tobba and Zadig & Voltaire to add some balance. For those who prefer fresh/ clean, unisex, and smoky scents it doesn’t lead with these, but it’s ideal for lovers of feminine, sweet and floral scents.
The hero scent is a 35ml bottle of the cult-favourite Givenchy L'interdit , while I’d argue the number of 10ml fragrances makes it a worthwhile calendar to discover brands you might not otherwise try.
