ITV This Morning's Holly Willoughby breaks social media silence after 'Queuegate' row

Holly Willoughby has broken her social media silence amid the "Queuegate" row.

The broadcaster has faced backlash after she was spotted with Phillip Schofield in Westminster Hall at Queen Elizabeth II's lying-in-state. This Morning issued a statement to defend the hosts over claims they skipped the queue to pay their respects to the former monarch.

The statement insisted they were there in a "professional capacity" and Holly later said they would never take anyone's place in the queue. Holly returned to front This Morning on Tuesday, however she has made a change to her social media as the "queue jump" row continues to be a major talking point.

The presenter usually shares her outfit for the upcoming episode with her 8m Instagram followers. However, she hasn't issued an outfit post for two weeks since she wore a polka dot dress from Finery London.

Holly does not present episodes of This Morning broadcast on Friday, but she has taken to social media this morning to issue a message to her co-star.

The mum-of-three congratulated Lisa Snowdon for being crowned the winner of this years Celebrity Masterchef. She said: "Well done clever lady."

Lisa was emotional as she celebrated her victory on the popular cooking programme. She said: "The moment I found out I’d won @masterchefuk 2022! ( look at the state of that apron! ) Literally feel like my head is going to explode- I’m in tears. Thank you for all your messages. I love you. Honestly the support has been off the charts."
