ITV The Chase fans call for 'ban' after contestant's comments

The Chase viewers issued the same complaint after a contestant's comments to another player on Thursday's instalment of the show.

Bradley Walsh welcomed four new players on this week's fourth edition of the popular ITV programme. Patrick from Darwen, Nicky from Nottingham, Ella from Newport and Stewart from Stockport, were testing their wits against Mark Labbett in the hopes of winning big money.

Patrick, who is originally from Australia, was up first. He managed to get an impressive five questions correct in his cash builder.

Despite a tempting high offer of £24,000 from The Beast, Patrick played it safe and opted for £5000. He made it back to the table with the money successfully.

Nicky, a schoolteacher, also took the middle offer. Ella was up next and answered six questions correctly.

After being offered as much as £41,000, she asked her teammates what they thought she should do. Patrick said: "Awesome cash builder, I reckon you can knock the Beast into cow corner".

Mark Labbett interjected with: "I love how the men are telling her to go high when they didn't go anywhere near!". Some fans agreed with the sentiment.

Taking to Twitter, Steff Smith said: "Not taking the high offer then telling someone else to take the high offer should be banned". Carol said: "Not going high but telling other people to go high. There's always one".

Lisa said: "When you're not brave enough to go high but will happily share someone else's winnings [cry-laughing emoji]". Sadly for Ella, she was caught by The Beast and left the studio empty-handed.

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
