ITV's The Chase viewers brand final 'disappointing' as show accused of being fixed

The Chase is one of ITV's most popular shows with four contestants competing against some of the world's best.

It's host, Bradley Walsh, has become a household name for many reasons - one being his sense of humour and laughing at inappropriate words during the show - however now they have come under fire and people say it's all a fix.

On tonight's show (January 13) viewers were left feeling disappointed after hopeful players Gerard and Chelsea managed to secure a seat back at the table.

Viewers were less than happy with the final outcome with the remaining two players "under-performing" towards the end with one tweeting that they "expected more from the team in the final chase today."

Taking to Twitter one asked: "Is it just me or do the Chasers get really easy questions these days?"

Another pointed out: "These Netflix questions are just unfair. Not everyone has a subscription to that!"

A third added: "It would hep if each persons questions was the same length and not shorter for the chasers. JEEZ!"

A fourth also said: "Hard luck Chelsea, you had a tough old set of questions there."

It's not the first time people have accused the show of this with fans pointing out in previous episodes that the questions are easier for The Chaser or that they have been read out too fast resulting in the players team losing out on the cash prize.

However in the past, host Bradley Walsh has explained that The Chase can't be "fixed" as there are "compliance lawyers in the studio all the time" to ensure it is played fair.

What did you think of their final performance?

The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub.
