ITV's Loose Women issues update as Stacey Solomon missing from photograph

Bosses of ITV's Loose Women have issued a statement after fans of the show feared that panellist Stacey Solomon had been sacked.

Some of ITV's biggest female stars, including Alison Hammond and Holly Willoughby, all got together for a photograph done by Amy Brammall for International Women’s Day, which falls on March 8.

But, Stacey Solomon was missing from the group photo celebrating female presenters.

The photograph, which showed all the women wearing various shades of pink, was shared to Loose Women's and This Morning's social media accounts.

It was captioned: "After almost two years apart, the female hosts of Daytime are coming together to celebrate International Women's Day!

"Watch the special video, filmed earlier this month, on the This Morning app now."

The photo included all the current Loose Women, Josie Gibson, Rochelle Humes, Susanna Reid, Kate Garraway, Ranvir Singh and Charlotte Hawkins - but Stacey, who has recently been on maternity leave, was nowhere to be seen.

Fans were concerned as they took to the comments.

Lyndsey said: "Where's Stacey?!?! She has every right to be in this photo."

Pauline said: "Where’s Stacey Solomon? She’s a Loose Woman?"

Lynsey said: "One main girl missing @staceysolomon"

ITV bosses issued a statement after the concerns, as a representative for the talk show said: "Stacey was still on maternity leave when the shoot took place."

Stacey and partner Joe Swash welcomed their first daughter, Rose, on her birthday in October.

It has been confirmed that she is due to return to the ITV talk show next week.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
