ITV's Beat The Chasers contestant shares unique link to The Chase

A contestant on Beat The Chasers revealed that she had a unique link to the original chaser show.

Retired Lynn appeared on the ITV show as she took on the panel of five chasers with host Bradley Walsh by her side. She explained that when she worked, she was an airline pilot and spent her last five years of flying as a captain on a jumbo plane.

Speaking about her past, Lynn revealed that British Airways named a gin-based cocktail after her, named Barton. But that wasn't the only impressive fact she had about herself as she went on to reveal another claim to fame.

It seemed that she had appeared on The Chase in the past, but not in person. Lynn said: "Another high point, I did feature as a question on The Chase years ago. It was a cash builder when you asked the contestant what Lynn Barton was the first person to do what on British Airways?"

She added: "Of course the answer was become a female pilot." Bradley was in disbelief as were fans on Twitter.

One user said: "Lynn had a question about her on #TheChase? She should be on the celebrity edition then #BeatTheChasers."

Darragh said: "Lynn has been a question on #TheChase and is now on #BeatTheChasers. Quiz pedigree!"

Samantha said: "Fair play to Lynn for that accolade!! #BeatTheChasers"

Sadly the game ended in a crash landing for Lynn as she went home with nothing after failing to beat the chasers. But Darragh Ennis showed her support via Twitter.

While the episode aired, the chaser wrote: "Isn't Lynn lovely? What a great contestant, and also a cocktail. And anyone who was at the recording would know Brad definitely have sampled it #BeatTheChasers."
