ITV Love Island's Ekin-Su confuses fans with string of messages as Dancing on Ice debut is slapped with complaints

Ekin-Su Culculoglu has posted a string of poignant messages after thanking fans for their support after it was revealed that her Dancing on Ice debut triggered official complaints. The Love Island winner is one of eleven famous faces who have signed up for the hit ITV skating show.

However, the reality star's first stint on the show didn't get off to the best of starts as she ended up in the bottom two and will now face one of five celebrities who will compete this Sunday in the dreaded skate-off.

Ekin-Su thrilled the show's hosts, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, as well as the judges as she skated alongside her professional partner Brendyn in a steamy routine to Britney Spears’ Toxic – but they were disappointed by her skating ability. The pair scored 21.5 points from the judges, which was not the lowest score on Sunday night as the first group of skaters took to the ice in ITV's split premiere.

Also making their debut in episode one were former EastEnders actress Patsy Palmer, Olympic gymnast Nile Wilson, The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran, reality star Joey Essex and Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton alongside their skating partners - Matt Evers, Olivia Smart, Klabera Komini, Vanessa Bauer and Lukasz Rozycki.

Viewers, however, won't have seen the full line-up perform until Sunday when Coronation Street's Mollie Gallagher, drag queen The Vivienne, comedian Darren Harriott and West End star and former Hollyoaks actress Carley Stenson all take to the ice before the first skate-off.

But back to Ekin-Su and it was revealed on Wednesday (January 18) that Dancing on Ice had been slapped with 112 Ofcom complaints following its opening show. The broadcasting watchdog confirmed the number of complaints and confirmed to the Manchester Evening News that they were all related to Ekin Su's performance and outfit.

Since it was revealed, the Turkish actress, 28, has addressed the matter, with The Sun quoting her saying: "You know what? If you have ’em flaunt them. I mean if you’ve got a nice bum and you look sexy in a unitard, why not. Who cares?"

But Ekin-Su, who won Love Island last summer alongside boyfriend Davide Sanclimenti, has also posted a string of messages to Twitter. In one, she typed: "Don’t ever compare yourself to others. You are not a copy, you are an original. Craft your own individuality and sense of style! And just be yourself."

In another, she wrote: "Don’t study me. You won’t graduate." But the string of tweets appeared to confuse some of her followers. @spikejonzedance asked: "Why does she tweet like a 15 year old wannabe baddie." @thatgirlbee_ replied: "What’s going on? Who is studying you."

But @EkinReality said: "Her tweets are always so random love her." @Kaaaaatie_x commented: "Love your daily little words of wisdom. Thank you for the reminder!!" @loveekinde added: "Love these daily inspirational quotes mother!!! always speaking facts."
