ITV Love Island host Maya Jama stuns fans with new look after denying Brit Awards drama

Maya Jama has wowed viewers after debuting a new look during her Love Island return. The TV and radio presenter had a busy weekend as she stepped out at the Brit Awards over the weekend but on Sunday night she was back to the day job on Love Island's Aftersun.

The ITV2 dating show's host returned for the programme's spin-off chat show where she was joined by regular panelists and The Morning After podcast hosts Sam Thompson and Indiyah Polack, as well as celebrity superfan Mae Muller. She also got the first chat with Tanyel Revan who was dumped from the South African villa last week.

But all eyes were on Maya as she used her latest TV appearance to debut her new hairstyle. The 28-year-old showcased her incredible figure in a long grey dress that sat off the shoulder with long sleeves and featured a cheeky cut-out detail on either side of her waist.

She added a pair of strappy silver heels to compliment the look but viewers' eyes were drawn to her new bangs. Maya kept her dark locks in a straight style but framed her face by cutting in a gorgeous new fringe. And fans were flocking to social media to comment.

@JaesJournal tweeted: "Maya is giving goddess today! #loveIsland #loveislandaftersun." @namelessfeelsx1 wrote: "Maya is absolutely stunning #loveisland." @prachilkk commented: "Maya is always DROP DEAD GORGEOUS #loveisland #loveislandaftersun." @Isabbardi posted: "Sorry Maya is just breathtaking #loveIsland #LoveIslandUK."

@freefromeyes typed: "Maya Jama's hair is givingggg #LoveIsland #loveislandaftersun." @JaayCarmichael echoed: "These bangs looking beautiful on maya #loveisland." @isthatbrandonn added: "Maya Jama may as well be a bombshell herself #LoveIsland #LoveIslandAftersun."

Maya debuted her new look on Aftersun (ITV)

Maya's latest Aftersun appearance comes after she and former Love Island host Laura Whitmore clapped back at talk that they appeared to 'ignore' each other at The BRIT Awards 2023. The Love Island presenters both took to Instagram following reports they didn't speak at the glitzy ceremony at The O2 Arena in London despite being seated on the same table.

Laura, who is married to the ITV2 dating contest narrator Iain Stirling, took over hosting duties on the first winter edition of the popular show from the late Caroline Flack in January 2020. Sharing the news of her decision to leave Love Island last summer after three series, the 37-year-old cited 'flying back and forth' between the UK and South Africa and 'new conflicting projects.'

New host Maya took over the helm last month for the second winter series in South Africa. Taking to Instagram Stories, Laura wrote: "I'm so sick of the media constabntly trying to run this narrarive with women," she wrote. "Imagine the audacity of also talking to other people at out table," she added. And she urged: "Stop trying to put wmen against each other and start celebrating women supporting women."

Posting a blowing kiss emoji she signed off by saying: "We had a great night @mayajama." And Maya shared Laura's message, agreeing: "Silly silly silly. I think very highly of @thewhitmore and think she's an angel. Maybe quote that instead." And she told Laura with a love heart: "Back at ya lovely."
