ITV is looking for people to work on I'm a Celebrity 2020

If you want the chance to meet celebrities and see what goes on behind the scenes on popular reality show I'm a Celebrity - this could be the job for you.

ITV is looking for runners to work on the 18th series of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here at Gwrych Castle in Abergele, North Wales, but only if you're from a short list of seven towns.

After weeks of speculation, the stunning location in North Wales was confirmed as the base for this year's series of the ITV show on Wednesday, August 26.

It means Ant & Dec - as well as a host of celebrities - will soon be spending their time in North Wales.

They'll be accompanied by production crews - with ITV now calling for local talent to join the project.

Vacancies for several runner positions have just been advertised online, it's been revealed.

The advertisement was posted on  TV Conwy Community Forum, a  Facebook  page for media professionals.

It states that ITV is looking for regional runners in North Wales - believed to be for I'm a Celebrity.

There are various contract start dates available, ranging from next week (August 31) to November 2020.

Whilst many in the local area will be interested in working on set, there is some job criteria.

The advert states that applications will only be accepted from those living in seven North Wales towns or from an English city on the border.

These are: Abergele, Llandudno, Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Rhyl, Prestatyn, Wrexham  and Chester.

Those who apply must already have six months running experience though, it further states.

And, ideally, they should have experience of supporting a crew on location.

To apply, send an email to ITVstudiostalent@itv.com with the subject 'North Wales Runner.'

A cover letter must be included in the email which include the following:

  • your mobile number
  • confirmation of availability
  • confirmation you live within 10 miles of one the areas in the advert
  • any runner credits
  • details of location experience you have as a runner
  • where you heard about the job (specify the job site or group)
  • names and contact details of two references

The advertisement advises applicants not to contact ITV or relevant agencies with queries.

It states that only those shortlisted for a vacancy will be contacted by project recruiters.

I'm a Celebrity - live from Gwrych Castle in Abergele - will air this autumn on ITV.
