ITV I'm A Celebrity's Sue Cleaver reveals secret communication with family during live shows

Viewers who are missing their daily fix of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here were treated to a special show last night (December 1) which revealed what the celebrities got up to after leaving the Australian jungle. The 22nd series of the ever popular ITV show came to a close on Nov 27 with Lioness Jill Scott crowned Queen of the Jungle.

The public voted Hollyoaks star Owen Warner as runner-up and despite his controversial appearance, MP Matt Hancock ended the show in third place. After leaving the show each of the eliminated stars are reunited with their loved ones and enjoy a stay at the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort and Spa before flying back to the UK.

After the I’m A Celeb Coming Out Show aired on Thursday night, fans have now been given a glimpse of exactly what happened when the celebrities left camp - and have also found out some exclusives.

The one off show followed each of the celebrities as they returned to the hotel to be greeted by their friends, families and fellow campmates. There were some emotional scenes as the likes of Owen Warner reunited with his parents and look-alike brothers.

Amongst the reunions, Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver, who plays the role of Eileen Grimshaw on the ITV soap, was greeted by her partner Brian Owen.

The 59-year-old, who was the third star to be voted out of the show this year, reunited with her husband as they let slip that she had a secret communication with her family whilst in the jungle.

Catching up over tea and cake, Brian said: "It was good that you did the secret sign to the grandkids."

Sue then patted her chest and asked: "Did they see it?"

Brian replied: "Yeah yeah they saw it."

Clips then showed numerous times that Sue patted her chest as a signal to her grandchildren during the live segments where hosts Ant and Dec arrived in camp to reveal who would be taking part in the trial, or towards the end of the series, who would be leaving the jungle.

"The secret code," Brian whispered.

The couple then shared a kiss as Brian said: "Welcome home darling, well welcome to Australia."

Sue met her husband Brian, who is a lighting technician, on the set of Coronation Street.

She was married to James Quinn between 1993 and 2003 and they have a son together, Elliot, who was born in 1998.
