ITV Good Morning Britain viewers distracted as brother and mum of I'm A Celebrity's Owen Warner make appearance

Good Morning Britain viewers couldn't help but be distracted as I'm A Celebrity star Owen Warner's brother and mum appeared on the programme. Polly and Louie appeared via video link from the Gold Coast to chat to hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley and the show's entertainment reporter Richard Arnold.

Hollyoaks actor Owen is currently favourite to be crowned King of the Jungle in this Sunday's final of the ITV reality show thanks to his kind and gentle nature in the jungle and for his brilliant one-liners and unusual conversations. During the latest episode of I'm A Celeb, viewers watched as Owen had a little bit of an issue with Boy George before his exit was revealed.

"I had a banana last night and then obviously Sue left this morning and there was an extra one, so I took it and I ate it and I hid the skin in my pocket so I wouldn’t get caught," the Culture Club star confessed in the Bushtelegraph early into Tuesday night's episode. Owen and Jill Scott were quick to notice the missing fruit, and it was Owen who questioned Boy George.

The Channel 4 soap star asked: "You had one last night and one this morning?" to which George replied: "Mmm, I thought it was Sue's." Owen then asked: "Without asking?" to which George said: "Says the man who has had more food than anyone in this camp." But Owen softly snapped back: "Could have asked first though."

Elsewhere in the programme, Owen took on the latest Deals on Wheels challenge with Chris Moyles and the actor appeared gutted as not only did they lose out on chocolate brownies, but they also scuppered the chance of finding out the results of England's World Cup opener, which we on the outside know saw the Three Lions storm ahead with a 6-2 win over Iran.

Despite completing the challenge to win the Dingo Dollars, Chris and Owen were forced to watch as the treat disappeared after the campmates got the all-important question wrong. Chris yelled: "No!" while Owen added: "I need a moment, honestly. That's actually devastating. Ah mate, I'm gutted."

And speaking on GMB, Owen's mum Polly shared how she thinks the 23-year-old will feel about the response to him from viewers of I'm A Celeb. "I think he'll be so amazed at everybody's reaction to him," she said. "We've always watched the show so to actually be on it is a dream come true. When he comes out and realises how much he's loved, he's going to be blown away."

And Owen's brother Louie was also full of praise. "The fact that he's still in there is a true testament to who he is as a person and the fact that he's been able to capture the audience," he said. "I think he's going to be really touched and I think it's going to give him a lot of confidence! He'll finally believe how good a person he is."

As people place their bets on Owen to emerge victorious, Polly also shared what it would mean for Owen to win the show, adding: "If that crown was to be put on his head, I can't even imagine it!"

As the pair spoke on GMB, viewers of the ITV news programme couldn't help but comment on Louie and Polly on social media. @vamplacey said: "Owen's mom is a beautiful woman....Good genes definitely run in that family, even his brother is good looking #gmb." @thomasoxley wrote: "So it’s not only Owen who’s a stunning lad! Hello there to his brother too!! #gmb."

But some don't appear to be a fan of Owen in the jungle. @Bufferb2012 tweeted: "Owen has done absolutley nowt in #imaceleb . Another example of the British shallow public #gmb." @AJ8malone said: "Owen is boring. Sick of him banging on about Food! #GMB."
