ITV Good Morning Britain issue update on host Ranvir Singh's health after sharp exit

Good Morning Britain has now issued an update on the health of Ranvir Singh after she made a sharp exit on the ITV show on Tuesday morning.

As reported by Wales Online, Ranvir Singh joined fellow hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley for the latest news headlines, but disappeared after a commercial break.

Presenter Louisa James stepped in for the former political editor of the show, and explained why she needed to make a quick exit from the ITV morning programme.

Susanna told GMB viewers: "It's five past seven, here's the rest of today's news. Now, it's no longer Ranvir. Louisa, you've stepped in. How's Ranvir doing?"

Louisa replied: "Ranvir is fine. Well, I think she's going to be fine. We think she's had a bit of an allergic reaction maybe, she's got a bit of a sore eye. She's just resting."

Richard got to the bottom of Ranvir's condition, stating it was the "worst case of hayfever" he's ever seen. Susanna reassured fans that the presenter was fine, and said: "It is particularly bad for sufferers at the moment. So yeah, Ranvir's just off for a moment. Welcome Louisa."

However, Ranvir had foreshadowed her illness during the show in a tweet, stating: "Anyone else got the worst most painful stinging hay-fever they've ever had? I can barely keep my eyes open. If there was a vaccine for this I’d sign up asap."

Good Morning Britain continues weekdays at 6am on ITV.
