ITV Emmerdale viewers spot glaring blunder as Caleb Milligan rushed to hospital after fall

Emmerdale viewers were convinced they had spotted a major error after Caleb Milligan's fall.

The character, played by Will Ash, was pushed off a ravine by a mystery attacker in last night's show. Caleb has made a number of enemies since he arrived in the fictional Yorkshire village.

He arrived with sinister intentions as he wanted to reclaim Home Farm from Kim Tate. However, his plans came crashing down when his son, Nicky, exposed Caleb's manipulative plot.

Caleb has since burned bridges with characters including Cain Dingle, Mackenzie Boyd and Will Taylor. Fans have eagerly been speculating who left Caleb for dead in last night's show and the identity of the attacker has yet to be revealed.

In tonight's episode, Caleb was shown to have survived the fall as he reached to answer a phone call from Chas Dingle. The device was just out of reach and he fell back unconscious until he was found by Cain.

Fans initially thought this meant Cain was going to be unveiled as the killer but he was actually walking the dog and phoned an ambulance for his long lost half brother. However, viewers were convinced they had spotted an error as they wondered how Caleb's phone survived the fall and how they managed to get signal in such a remote location in the woods.

Matthew said: "This mobile phone should be on adverts as the toughest phone even surviving dropping off a cliff and getting good signal in in middle of nowhere ... where's Kevin Bacon when you need him do another random EE advert"

Tom added: "So his phone just happened to fly out of his pocket and land in front of him just out of his reach."

Penny commented: "No way will he get a phone signal there"

Ray posted: "And..... his phone works of course."
