ITV Emmerdale fans shocked at Dawn's devastating diagnosis

Emmerdale fans were left shocked tonight as Dawn revealed she might be infertile after contracting a sexually transmitted infection.

Dawn collapsed in the village and was rushed to A&E, with doctors thinking she could be pregnant.

But after being examined at the hospital Dawn came out to Harriet and will ashen faced as she explained what had happened.

Dawn said: "There is no baby, there never was, they've given me antibiotics and told me to go home and rest."

Will asked what they were for as Harriet reassured her she didn't have to tell them.

Dawn continued and said: "I've got an infection PID, I ignored the signs, I got Chlymidia an STI from one of the fellas I've got with.

"I do do bad stuff with bad people for money so bad things are going to happen to me."

Harriet told her that wasn't true as Dawn said she had to return to the hospital for an ultrasound in a few days.

Dawn said: "There isn't a baby the infection has damaged me, there won't be anymore babies if the damage is as bad as the doctor thinks, not now, not for me."
