Soap fans were excited to see the return of one of their favourite characters on Emmerdale this evening.
Harriet Finch made a return to the screen after not being spotted at the church or down the Woolpack for a while.
The character, played by Katherine Dow Blyton, was last in the drama with Will Taylor, played by Dean Andrews, and DI Mark Malone.
ITV viewers were quick to tweet about her arrival back in the Dales, even if she seemed a lot more composed than the last time they saw her.
@DaveHallCoLtd said: "Harriet?! Where the hell did you rock up from?"
@VampLover27 said: "Harriet’s now sane all of a sudden."
@RyanGTweetsTV said: "Harriet the crazed vicar is back."
@AndyGibsonTV said: "IT'S HARRIET! Haven't seen her in yonks."
Last week, a familiar face from another TV show got ready to pop up in Emmerdale.

Emmerdale has cast Drag Race UK season one winner The Vivienne to play a part in its special Pride episode.
Sharing a glamourous photo of her standing infront of the Emmerdale road sign, she tweeted: “So proud to announce I’ve joined the cast of @emmerdale to celebrate their first ever pride!!! Make sure tune in for a creaking episode!!! #emmerdale #pride”
Speaking of her Emmerdale appearance, she said: “I am so happy that I will be part of Emmerdale’s first-ever Pride. My role is to officially open the event on the stage!
“It’s great for Emmerdale to be doing this and I’m delighted to be part of it. We’re making that little bit of history for all the gays and the LGBTQ+ community and it’s just an absolute honour.”
It’s reported Vivienne will be playing the role of herself as she leads the villagers on their first-ever Pride event.
