ITV Emmerdale fans left with same questions over Leyla's kidnap as they're baffled by sudden change

Emmerdale fans have found themselves asking the same questions and spotting details about Leyla Cavanagh's kidnap ordeal as they wait to discover if she'll survive. Last week, viewers of the ITV soap saw the wedding planner attempt to get her own back on drug dealer Callum after he stabbed her son and left him for dad.

Some of the village residents headed out into Leeds for a night out with Leyla staying sober wth the support of friend and colleague Suzy Merton. But after spotting her former dealer up to his usual tricks in the club, Leyla thought she'd take matters into her own hands and called the police in a bid to get Callum caught in the act.

As he was dragged out of the club, Leyla made herself known and told him that she was responsible for his arrest after filming him. However, she made a big mistake as there wasn't enough evidence to charge Callum and Leyla was terrified for her own life and that of her son, Jacob's, after she was threatened by Callum for trying to stop him.

Leyla then had to come clean to David Metcalfe and Jacob about the danger she has put them in before Suzy tried to help get Callum off Leyla's back. She came up with a plan, hoping to spread rumours via her contacts that Callum is not to be trusted. While Leyla wasn't convinced it was the right course of action, she agreed and Suzy got things underway.

However, as she phones Leyla to give her an update, things took a shocking turn when Suzy was attacked with a brick by Callum, who wasn't happy with what the women were trying to do. She was later seen in hospital where it was touch and go as to whether she'd wake up.

Meanwhile, taking advice from village newcomer Caleb Milligan, Leyla texted Callum and arranged a meeting and attempted to pay him off with a wad of cash. Callum, however, was having none of it and he took her hostage, tying her up in a remote cabin in the woods. After leaving her overnight, Callum returned, informing recovering drug addict Leyla that the plan is to have her do a drop off.

But his plan to restore his reputation with his 'bosses' backfired, as seen in Wednesday's edition of Emmerdale (March 15). He then announced his plans to go on the run and when Leyla dared to ask whether he would let her go, assuring him she would not go to the police and offering to help him, the drug dealer ended up assaulting the businesswoman leaving Leyla's life hanging in the balance.

However, despite the dramatic scenes, Emmerdale fans were taking to social media to ask about various plot holes they had spotted. One tweeted: "There is no toilet in that wood shack?!" Another said: "Where is Layla going to go to the loo?" A third shared: "Oh poor Layal but there is no toilet in there.,."

Another viewer asked: "How come she hasnt needed the bathroom?" Meanwhile, a fan also noted: "How comes she's been tied up all night and gagged but her make up is perfect and her lipstick hasn't even smudged or rubbed off..." However, another viewer did point out: "Didn’t you notice him give her a lipstick and tell her to tidy herself up."

Elsewhere, Emmerdale fans were also baffled by Suzy's swift recovery as she was back out of hospital and trying to help Jacob and David Metcalfe track Leyla down with the help of the police. @JDavvyy tweeted: "Suzy! that was a quick recovery #Emmerdale."

@pam_debeauvoir said: "...and as if by magic....Suzy has made a miraculous recovery #Emmerdale." @MegWarr09285908 commented: "Wow, another miraculous recovery for NHS Hotton. Suzy was on deaths door yesterday #emmerdale." @stevebethere added: "I have a suspicion that Suzy is actually Wonderwoman #emmerdale."
