Emmerdale fans were muttering amongst themselves as they were left confused by Suzy Merton. Viewers of the ITV soap were l eft disgusted earlier this week when Leyla Cavanagh almost sunk to new lows in order to get a fix.
Unbeknown to her family and friends, except Suzy, the wedding planner appears addicted to drugs but is in denial about her problem. The truth came out to viewers when Suzy arrived in the village as a new love interest for Vanessa Woodfield. It became clear that the pair had a past and it was soon revealed that they have enjoyed drug and booze-fuelled nights out together.
These then continued as Leyla reveled at the fact Suzy was around, all while her family are blind to her actions. But earlier this week, her new drug dealer Jason appeared in the village and gave her an ultimatum. He told her that she either sells drugs for him via her wedding planning business or get Jai Sharma back as one of his customers.

There was a third option, however, which was that she could choose none and be cut off from his drug supply, an option Leyla was trying to avoid. But Suzy arrived in the nick of time and ended up recording Jason's admission to dealing drugs.
So Leyla's choice was out of her hands as Jason left and cut her off, leaving her furious with Suzy, She then started blackmailing her pal, but bringing up Holly Barton, Moira Dingle'sdaughter who died of a heroin overdose the same night that Suzy gave her cash for cocaine.
Leyla then suggested that she could reveal the truth to Moira, or Suzy could provide her with the contact number she needs for her drug supply if she wants her secret kept under wraps. Then during Thursday night's (June 23) trip to the Dales, Suzy paid Leyla a visit.
She was still refusing to share the number with an arrogant Leyla until she warned: "Or do you want me to come round to Vanessa's later when you're having your tea with Jonny and ask for it then?" referring to Vanessa's young son.
Suzy did end up giving Leyla the number but told her that from now on she was "on her own". But Emmerdale viewers were going out of their minds as to why Suzy hasn't told Leyla's husband Liam or even David Metcalfe and Jacob Gallagher.
