ITV Emmerdale fans ask 'why oh why' as they make Caleb observation after Kim Tate threat

Emmerdale fans have made the same observation about Caleb Milligan as he issued a threat to Kim Tate - despite her not hearing it. Viewers' jaws were on the floor last week when it was revealed that the village newcomer wasn't only related to the Dingle's but also the Tate's.

Caleb, played by Will Ash, made his first appearance in the ITV soap back in December where he was introduced as the long-lost brother of Cain and Chas Dingle and appeared to want to reconnect with his family after learning of his mum, Faith Dingle's death. But in scenes aired last week, it was revealed that there is more to Caleb's arrival in the Dales as he attempts to claim back his birth right, Home Farm. It was revealed that Caleb is the son of Frank Tate, Kim's former husband, while Nicky, her new nanny, is his son.

Not knowing his real identity, during Monday night's episode (April 10), Kim, played by Claire King, revealed to Caleb that she had been sent a legal letter from the "illegitimate" child of the late Frank, wanting to get his hands on some inheritance. As Kim and husband Will Taylor arrived back at Home Farm from touring their new stud farm, they were soon discussing the "facelessness" of the legal challenge and the likelihood of its success.

In support of his wife, Will predicted that the claim would be dropped as he claimed Kim had been "smart enough" to have covered her tracks when she stole the bulk of the fortune from the estate. However, the conversation was overheard by Caleb, who wasted no time in making it clear he had heard what they were talking about and complained about Kim "hiding money in Tate business".

Will then admitted that their new business partner "had a right to know" what was going on, and Kim and Will sat down with Caleb to discuss the matter. He even threatened to pull out of the current farm deal because of the potential issues that could lie ahead, prompting Kim to suggest offering to transfer money directly to him so the stud farm purchase could be entirely in his name.

He wasted no time in agreeing to the plan, leaving Kim thinking she was about to come out on top of the inheritance claim against Frank's unknown child. Later in the episode, Kim was seen visiting her late husband’s grave, where a white rose had been left in his memory.

Checking to see if anyone was around, Kim then bent down to pick up a rose that had was laying in front of the headstone. She held the bloom in her hand and snapped it between her fingers. "You won't win Frank," she said out loud. "You never could with me," she added.

But unbeknownst to her, Caleb was loitering behind a tree and stepped from the snowy shadows as Kim left. "Don't worry, Kimberley. You'll get what's coming," he menacingly warned. Emmerdale fans, meanwhile, couldn't help but pick up on the fact that Caleb always appears to be hanging around.

@michaelmaybe3 said: "Why oh why does Caleb always appear from behind corners of buildings or bushes or even "just happen" to be walking by someone... ALL JUST AT THE RIGHT TIME." They then quipped: "I am gonna to init the town centre and announce "i need help with my gas bill"...chances are Caleb is gonna be walking pass me and use the usual line of "What's up?..well doesn't look like nothing to me!"...I am sure he will help me out right?"

@MeeshyJay tweeted: "Caleb is everywhere ffs #Emmerdale." @lbozza17 asked: "Is Caleb Ever not lurking somewhere in the village?? #emmerdale." @tamlizann25 said: "Caleb is everywhere even in the graveyard #Emmerdale." @Surfingspaniel added: "Caleb’s just loves lurking in the cemetery #Emmerdale."
