ITV Corrie teases double death drama in eerie new trailer as Adam suffers deadly fall and net closes in on Gary

Coronation Street favourites Adam Barlow and Gary Windass have been teetering on the edge for some time now, and next week the two characters are set for some life-changing scenes.

A furious Adam confronts his stalker ex Lydia Chamber and is determined to expose her lies for good - but with catastrophic results. Bunny boiler Lydia told Adam's wife Sarah that they were having an affair.

And Sarah believed her best friend, kicking Adam out of their home. Determined to win Sarah back, a new Coronation Street trailer shows him meeting Lydia for a furious showdown.

A seething Lydia rails at Adam for his treatment of her all those years ago and she yells: "I want you to own what you did." As his uncle Daniel Osbourne scours the shopping centre for Adam, there's an almighty scream before the solicitor tumbles over the barrier.

The net closes in on Gary (ITV)

The trailer eerily fades to black before Lydia is seen looking at he ground. And for Gary, played by Mikey North, his double life as a killer looks set to come out next week on the ITV soap.

Laura confronts Gary (ITV)

The trailer shows Rick Neelan's ex Laura confronting him about her husband disappearing three years ago.

She screams at Gary, who has been acting as her daughter Kelly's guardian, that she wants to know what happened to the loan shark boss who Gary killed and buried in the woods. And a brooding Gary asks her menacingly: "You want the truth?"

It appears that events take a dark turn as Laura and Kelly are shown looking distressed in a scene with blue flashing lights.
