ITV Coronation Street viewers figure out where they've seen Dean actor before

There's a new character on the street and he's causing problems for Abi Franklin and Kevin Webster. During Friday night's episode of the ITV soap, viewers saw Toyah Battersby marching Abi off to a meeting after seeing her downing a bottle of vodka at her son Seb's memorial in Victoria Gardens.

Upon returning to the street, Abi had a man in two and Toyah hurried over to see how the meeting went on who her new friend was, with the former drug addict telling her it was her new sponsor.

Believing what she heard, Toyah headed off pleased with herself for helping her neighbour but Corrie fans knew that Dean was in fact a drug dealer and wasn't helping Abi in the way Toyah thought - or hoped. Then during Sunday night's trip to the cobbles, to make up for the soap being cancelled in the week for football coverage, viewers saw Abi and Dean going on another drug and booze bender.

But a furious Kevin Webster arrived home to find Dean giving Abi a massage on the sofa after she complained she was suffering from a bad back despite appearing in chronic pain.

The mechanic, however, was soon left disgusted when he found a substance on a family photo and blasted his wife for "chopping up lines on a picture of my son," leading her to hit back: "Once a junkie, always a junkie. You knew what you were getting in to," before begging Kevin for his forgiveness.

But Abi's downward spiral continued as Kevin told her they were over, and Dean soon appeared at the back door and the pair continued to take drugs together at No.13.

And not much later, Dean was seen nicking the keys to Kev's garage and went to steal one of their cars but Abi spotted him and jumped in the car herself.

As they zoomed off, they were soon seen stopping on a country lane with Abi doubled over in agony at the side of the road and pleading with Dean to take her to the hospital.

But the drug dealer left Abi and shot off in the stolen motor before she called 999 and told the operator she was having a baby.

Away from the drama, Corrie fans have released where they have seen Dean actor Anthony Crank before.

He was a presenter on Channel 4's former weekend programme T4, which aired on Sunday mornings, from 2002 to 2005 with the likes of Vernon Kaye, June Sarpong, Steve Jones and Miquita Oliver all making a name for themselves on the show.

But he's also had other TV roles, going on to play Steve in Hollyoaks in 2010, and played two different characters in Channel 4's Shameless - a character called Bill in 2009 and Phil in 2012.

Anthony's appearance on the cobbles will continue this week when after spotting a BMW, Abi forms a plan and calls Dean. Abi meets Dean at his lock-up and while he inspects the BMW, Abi calls the police to report the original stolen car.

However, when Dean overhears her call, it looks like Abi is in danger.

Having heard about the stolen car from Tyrone, a concerned Toyah calls Abi's phone, a paramedic answers and explains that Abi’s been involved in an accident and is soon arriving at the hospital.
