ITV Coronation Street's Maria Connor stuns fans with throwback photo

Coronation Street fans will love Samia Longchambon's throwback photo of her and Alan Halsall.

Samia who plays Maria Connor on the ITV soap posted the snap last year to celebrate Alan's (Tyrone Dobbs) birthday.

The picture, which was taken in The Kabin in 2000, features a young Samia and Alan.

Long-time fans will remember how Tyrone proposed to a 17-year-old Maria in the days when they cleaned out dog kennels together.

And things hotted up again between the pair when they shared a one-night stand, after Maria ended things with Nick Tilsey.

But after a pregnancy scare she called things off, declaring the flames of passion just weren’t there.

Samia captioned the post saying: "Another birthday another embarrassing pic of us..

"Happy birthday to my ‘younger’ (by a whole month) brother from another! Surprised the fringe police didn’t get us for this crime against hair!

"Love you loads @alanhalsall."

Earlier this week, eagle-eyed Coronation Street viewers couldn't help but notice an error as Cobbles residents took on a Mr & Mrs quiz.

Taking place in the Rovers Return, Emma played host as Chesney and Gemma, Tracy and Steve, Billy and Paul took to the stage.

David Platt was also meant to partake in the quiz, however his girlfriend Shona failed to turn up, leaving colleague Maria to take her place.

Whilst David was certain that he knew Maria inside-out after working in Audrey's salon with her for many years, the pair stumbled when asked about their favourite sandwich.

Knocking them out of the competition, David joked to Maria: "Shouldn't we like get faked divorced or something?"

Maria responded: "You never put a ring on it".

David replied: "Neither did anyone else".

But it was Maria's next comment, which viewers failed to understand as she replied: "True story".

However, Corrie viewers recalled in 2008, Maria married Liam Connor - Michelle Connor's brother.
