ITV Coronation Street's Kimberly Hart-Simpson warns friends over wedding song as she's asked about coming out

Kimberly Hart-Simpson has made a brave move by revealing the song she'd love to walk down the aisle to one day. The Coronation Street star revealed all in a Q&A with her followers on Instagram. But it did come with a warning to her friends.

The Nicky Wheatley actress was asked: "What is the soundtrack to your life," by one fan and she soon gave a well-thought-out response. "Ok it's between this and I'm the man 50 Cent (I listen to this to get me pumped before going into auditions)."

The song she tagged to her Instagram Story post was To Build A Home by The Cinematic Orchesta. Explaining her reasons for the choice, Kimberley, 35, continued: "To Build a Home I listen to when something good happens in life. Like I am building towards something...

"Also I am going to walk down the aisle to this when I get married," she revealed. "One day. I am putting this here now so if my friends read this they know I have bagsy'ed it!"

She did, however, end up answering another frequently asked question in the process. "With that said I am single with not a sniff of a ring. Which should answer the mound of questions asking if I am single [crying laughing emoji]."

Kimberly, who previously appeared on Celebs Go Dating, came out as bisexual and explained during an interview on ITV's Lorraine with host Lorraine Kelly that in 2019 she designed a rainbow-themed dress for former Hollyoaks star Jessica Ellis for the British Soap Awards.

Then, in January 2021, Kimberly stated that she is pansexual - the romantic or sexual attraction to people of any sex or gender identity. During her latest Q&A the soap star was asked: "How hard was coming out and why do you think it seems easier for women?"

But Kimberly disagreed: "I don't think it is easier for women tbh. Every persons journey is different and mind was supported by friends and family who didn't really make a big thing of it. Which made it simpler for me."

She did, however, add: "But I know that makes me lucky. Now I can just focus on love and however than happens." Kimberly did meet her ex-boyfriend, Shane Finlayson, on E4's Celebs Go Dating. The couple had been dating for six months before they split with Kimberly saying the long-distance and Covid-19 restrictions meant that it was hard to maintain the relationship.
