ITV Coronation Street's Helen Flanagan Cobbles return derailed due to 'awful' condition

Helen Flanagan has issued an exciting update on her Coronation Street return.

The 32-year-old shot to stardom for her portrayal of Rosie Webster on the Cobbles. She exited Weatherfield in 2012 before she returned for a brief storyline from 2017 to 2018.

The mum-of-three appeared on today's edition of Loose Women and was quizzed on whether she would ever consider returning to the cast. Helen revealed her initial plans to come back were derailed when she developed an illness while she was pregnant.

She said: "I had hyperemesis and I became really poorly with my pregnancy, it was awful." Helen suffered with hyperemesis gravidarum while she was expecting her three children, Delilah, Matilda and Charlie.

The condition affects pregnant women and symptoms include severe, nausea, weight loss, vomiting and dehydration. Helen said she has been changed by motherhood and still harbours hopes of a return to the Cobbles as she wants to bring her real life experience to Rosie's character.

She said: "I would love Rosie to be a mum. I would love to come back at some point and Sally being a grandma. I'd like to do that. I think that would be great."
