ITV Coronation Street fans work out killer twist as they make the same observation about Sean Tully and issue plea

Coronation Street fans think they have figured out a 'killer' twist - and it won't be good news for Sean Tully. The character, played by Antony Cotton in the ITV soap, isn't very lucky when it comes to matters of the heart but viewers are currently seeing him loved-up with Laurence Reeves.

However, Sean's friend and housemate Todd Grimshaw has previously shared is concerns about Laurence, despite trying to make a romantic pass at him himself. Todd, played by Gareth Pierce, has previously shared theories around the death of Laurence's wife Lindsey, who is said to have tragically fallen from a mountain.

However, Todd has since backed off from his wild conspiracy in an effort to avoid upsetting Sean. But it appears his mum, Eileen Grimshaw, is now on the case. During Monday night's trip to the cobbles, Eileen was seen helping pay for Todd's taxi as he arrived home the morning after the night before.

But the cab driver appeared more focused on Sean and Laurence leaving the house, before she quipped: "A thank you is usually customary in this situation?" The driver replied: "Sorry love, thanks. I was miles away, just seen someone I know, a bit of a blast from the past."

While Todd and Eileen assumed he meant Sean, the taxi driver then said: "Tell your lodger to watch his back. I am saying nothing [but] word to the wise, just tell your lodger to be careful," before he drove off. Of course, the comments triggered suspicion and later, Eileen had something to show Todd.

"I wouldn't leave it just yet," she said when Todd arrived home to tell his mum they needed to drop it after he approached Seann about the matter. "I have been doing some research myself. So we know Laurence isn't on social media.

"But in an article about his wife's death, it mentions they were members of the rambling club and they have a social media page. Who's that?" Seeing the picture, Todd responded: "Laurence and his wife?" to which Eileen added: "And who has he got his arm around?"

Todd then twigged: "Wonky Ewan! Mitch... but that means Laurence has lied!" Meanwhile, in the Rovers, Laurence asked if Sean thought he was hiding a "monstrous" secret from him, but Sean denied it. And Corrie fans think that Laurence is hiding something pretty big.

@mycorriefan tweeted: "I reckon that Laurence actually killed his wife and Mitch is a family friend who was suspicious of him!" @DavidBoink wrote: "Laurence has done a Janine from Eastenders and pushed the wife off steep hill #Corrie." @KlCKASSCANTONA posted: "So Laurence killed his wife #Corrie @itvcorrie."

Others, however, are pleading for Sean to have some luck as they made the same observation. @chrissy.slattery said: "Can’t Sean have a bit of luck for a change ? Not everything needs to constantly go wrong." @ukexpat93 posted: "I really want Sean to be happy. Why can’t we have more couples that stay together?"

And with Sean heading off on a mini-break, fans are concerned he could end up suffering the same fate as Laurence's wife.
