Coronation Street fans were stunned when character Liz McDonald walked on to the scene.
In tonight's hour-long episode, Liz, who is played by 62-year-old Beverley Callard, opted for some eye-popping skin-tight leggings.
They were definitely a fashion statement, as they appeared to be in a bright purple metallic colour, which caught many viewers off guard.
Taking to Twitter , one said: "OMG is Liz dressed up as Barney the dinosaur with those leggings or..."
Another said: "MY EYES!!! #LizMacdonald"
A third said: "I think Gemma can't fit in her leggings now she's pregnant with quads so she's lent them to Liz."
A fourth said: "Woah, Liz's leggins."
And another added: "How tight are Liz's trousers."
But this is not the first time she has donned the head-turning purple leggings.
She also wore them back in January, when she paired them with a red leopard-print scarf.
