ITV Coronation Street fans stunned by Jack Webster's age as he undergoes 'personality change'

Jack Webster has had a tough time on the cobbles after it was revealed earlier this week that he was being bullied. Coronation Street fans discovered that the son of Kevin Webster had been being picked on for having 'two dads'.

It was only last month that the schoolboy discovered that he was born as a result of an affair. Mechanic Kevin had an affair with colleague and neighbour Tyrone Dobbs' late partner Molly while he was married to Sally Metcalfe, which resulted in Molly giving birth to his Jack. But Molly tragically died on the cobbles in 2010, with Tyrone believing Jack to be his.

She lost her life after she and her son became trapped in the shop following the street's horror tram crash. As Jack was rushed to hospital, Sally waited with Molly as emergency services attempted to free her. It is then that the truth came out as during her final moments, she revealed to Sally that Kevin is Jack’s father.

In scenes aired on June 17, Debbie Webster implored her brother Kevin to think carefully before taking on Alfie when Jack overhears how Kevin had an affair with Molly behind Tyrone’s back, resulting in his birth. Then, earlier this week in the ITV soap, Kevin found out his son was being bullied.

Cruel students had been calling him 'spanner' for having 'two dads' who are mechanics. Under pressure at work and at home with Abi's return pending with baby Alfie, Kevin was furious to get a call from the school. As he arrived, he was disappointed to learn Jack punched another boy, Nathan.

Jack admitted to his dad that Nathan had been taunting him having found out that Tyrone initially thought he was his dad. Later, during Wednesday night's trip to the cobbles, Kevin gets into an argument with Jack back at home and is upset to hear his son say that he isn’t looking forward to having Abi back.

But Kevin is too busy to deal with Jack's attitude as he was busy preparing for a social worker to arrive before Abi and Alfie could come back home. And things went from bad to worse when Stephen Reid kicked off at Kevin after Aaron failed to fix his car, leading to Kevin losing it and smashing up Audrey Roberts' son's car.

Corrie fans, however, were distracted by the earlier scenes as it was revealed it was Jack's last day at school. And his age took them by surprise. @jonnymgdraws tweeted: "Hang on Jack is supposed to be ELEVEN!?! #corrie #coronationstreet." @PrimulaBond said: "Jack needs walking to school? Last day at primary? That makes the character about 10-11 but he looks and sounds about 19!!! #coronationstreet #corrie."

@twobytwo_ wrote: "Love how in #Corrie they keep stressing how Jack is like 11 years old when the young actor playing him is clearly around 15 years old." @Dancing50216871 commented: "Did I just hear right Jack Webster is only 11 @itvcorrie I’m sure he’s about 14 #corrie." @sp0tfollower shared: "JACK IS SUPPOSED TO BE IN PRIMARY SCHOOL ??????? #corrie."

@HappyMildew added: "Wait it’s Jack Webster’s last day of PRIMARY SCHOOL?!?! He looks about 15?! #corrie." While @Willswhinge said: "I'm surprised Jack hasn't been given a new face to go with that sudden personality change like Max #Corrie."

And it's not the first time Jack's age has been questioned by viewers. He was born in September 2010, making him 11-years-old, and just a few months later, Jack and Molly ended up being trapped inside the wreckage of the Corner Shop following the major tram crash. In real-life Kyran Bowes, who plays Jack, is 15.
