Coronation Street fans were fans were left feeling concerned for Maria after Gary was questioned by the police.
In tonight's visit to the famous cobbles, an anxious Gary's fears came to fruition when the police visited him and pulled him in for questioning over Rick Neelan's disappearance.
Other scenes saw Leanne making an effort for Nick's final visit with Sam before he moves to London with his mum. She wrapped presents and told Nick he should have a "lovely time" with his son.

Later, Chesney and Kirk experienced a market downturn, with Gemma saying "there's a lot riding on today".
While Gary was being quizzed over his immoral behaviour, Maria sought solace in David. She told her friend that while Gary may be a lot of things, "he's not a murderer".
Viewers felt sorry for her after her claims.

Chantel said: "Maria always gets it wrong with men poor thing."
Ryan commented: "Maria doesn't suspect Gary of being a murderer. The woman clearly doesn't know him well enough then."
Abbie shared an awkward face and said: "'I know he’s a lot of things, but he’s not a murderer!'"
But Shaun said: "Please tell the truth Maria."
Later, the police officer visited Maria at her home and reminded her it was a criminal offence to lie to police, before asking once again if Gary was with her the night Adam Barlow was attacked.
