ITV Coronation Street fans can't stop making the same comment about Debbie Webster

It's fair to say Coronation Street fans were left quite distracted as Debbie Webster and Ryan Connor kickstarted their money-making plans. As viewers of the ITV soap know, the Bistro owner is suffering money troubles and has been hosting themed nights at the restaurant to try and encourage more custom.

But her need for money fast after Ed Bailey suffered a shock while working at one of her hotels has led to her and Ryan teaming up to try and pull off insurance fraud. After raking in the cash during 'Casino Night' during Monday night's trip to the cobbles (August 1), Debbie instructed the DJ to fake a break-in so that she could make a claim on the insurance.

But getting last minute-jitters about the scam, Debbie told Ryan the robbery was off and he wasn't impressed. So with Casino Night underway, Ryan told Debbie that he was going to fuse the electrics and grab the cash from the safe. Suddenly the bistro was plunged into darkness and Debbie reluctantly helped with Ryan’s plan.

As the Bistro customers filed into the Rovers, Ryan returned to the restaurant and stuffed the cash into his gym bag but suddenly Leanne Battersby arrived and managed to get the lights back on while Ryan hid out of sight with the money firmly in his grip. Ryan later assured Debbie that the cash was stashed in his bedroom and Leanne and Debbie decided to send their customers back over to the Bistro to continue on with their event.

However, Leanne was soon left horrified to discover all the money which she had planned to take to their night safe had gone and Debbie ordered Ryan to call the police, leaving the nervous barman having to report his own crime.

But Corrie's fans were distracted by Debbie's glam new look as she donned a quiff hairstyle in the latest scenes. They likened the look to Cameron Diaz's iconic do in the 1998 film There's Something About Mary. Ian Davies asked on Facebook: "What's with Debbie's 'There's Something About Mary' hairstyle?" Danielle Johnson echoed: "Why does Debbie's hair look like Cameron Diaz in there's something about mary though?"

@rozlaws tweeted: "Debbie has very 'something about Mary' vibes." @jambocaz said: "Debbie getting hair tips from Cameron!! #Corrie." @chippytea_ commented: "She may be dodgy but Debbie is such a fashion queen." While others even reference Elvis and Tin Tin.
