ITV Britain's Got Talent fans slam 'embarrassing' Simon Cowell as he reveals why dancing dog act came back as wildcard

Britain's Got Talent viewers are furious tonight after ITV show bosses revealed the act coming back for the final as the judges' wild card. It was revealed yesterday (Saturday June 4) that Amber and her Dancing Collies had been picked to go through to the final line-up for Sunday night, ahead of other semi-final acts including nine-year-old singer Immi and creepy magic act The Witches.

And in the final show boss Simon Cowell revealed that his eight-year-old son Eric was behind the decision to bring Amber and her dancing dog act back. He admitted: "I got an earful when I left here the other night saying 'how come the dogs didn't get through?"

And music mogul Simon then blundered by asking "he's a he isn't he?" when her dog Nymeria is a girl. He corrected: "It's a she isn't she?" @jamieson_alan commented on Twitter: "One of his ‘favourite’ acts, and doesn’t even know if the dog is male of female#bgt."

@CourtKayleigh tweeted: "Well, that was awkward! Simon brings back an act and doesn't even know if the dog is male or female." @rogernook said: "Awkward Simon doesn't talk to the acts backstage." And @julianhilaire said: "Simon is embarrassing."

@RyanGSoapKing11 tweeted: "So Eric decides the Wildcard now Simon." And Shazzer2933 asked: "Is that why she was wild card because Eric was annoyed?"

@SavageKp wrote: "So the dogs are only in because of Simons son Eric. Hmmm." @SuzysSpace said: "I much preferred the routine with her two dogs. She should never have compromised." And @MrFaisalLatif said: "So basically 'Eric' picked the wildcard."

Dog trainer Amber Karstens left her other dog Ruby out of her high-energy skipping routine to You're The One That I Want to perform with just Nymeria. Amber initially started her BGT journey at the audition stage with Nymeria and before the semi-finals changed her act name from Amber and Nymeria to Amber and The Dancing Collies to introduce Ruby.

@griannedoherty2 said: "Wait isn't the act supposed to be 'Amber & her dancing collies' what happened the other one? Wasn't she put through as a wildcard with 2?" Other BGT fans rushed to praise the duo. @ElliotHorwoodF1 wrote: "I hope they win! Amber and the Dancing Collie(s) Nymeria was skipping!!" And @DanPop79 praised: "Great dog act, incredible."

@_mariiaax said: "Awww that dog is a genius! I love her." @dirtydavedennis tweeted: "To train a dog to do that is amazing….I’m still trying to train my cat to not s*** in the house." And @BnmPlanet applauded: "Simon son Eric well done bending dad's ear to appear in the show. The tricks were old but children will love it. I wish you luck."
