It's all about Christmas in July in Canberra right now

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas ... in July.

Canberra will be all about Christmas in July over the next few days, with lots of events to enjoy the festive season during the cold and cosy season of winter.

From now until Sunday, July 5, the National Triangle will transform into a glowing French-inspired winter Christmas village.

The village is at the Patrick White Lawns, between the National Library and Lake Burley Griffin, with fairy lights, mulled wine, snowfall moments, wooden chalets and festive winter experiences.

Entry is free to wander around the chalets selling Christmas and winter-themed food and products. You can also book extras such as the fire pit and Christmas movie.

Entry to the magical snow lane is also free. There is also live music and roaming entertainment.

Opening hours are 4.30pm to 9.30pm on Thursday, July 2; 4.30pm to 10.30pm on Friday, July 3; 11am to 10.30pm on Saturday, July 4; and 11am to 9pm on Sunday, July 5.
